My sister and I appreciate very much the kind assistance Van & Luz Benzon accorded us before the cruise and after my accidental fall.. Their customer service was excellent. It would have been a great cruise experience had I not have the unfortunate accident in Venice, Italy. Walking on uneven surface, mostly cobblestones, I failed to see a slightly elevated cobblestone. I tripped on it and fell on my mouth and left wrist, which swelled up immediately. I was glad that I got to experience the gondola ride before the accident happened. I had to cancel shore excursions in Koper (Slovenia), Split (Croatia) and Kotor (Montenegro as I was in no physical condition to go on the tours. Nevertheless, as I started to heal, I was able to participate in the shore excursions in Dubrovnik (Croatia) and the Greek islands of Corfu, Santorini and Mykonos. I tried to make the most out of the rest of the cruise with my sister. My mouth healed completely in six days, but I still feel pain in my wrist. The ship doctor took x-rays of the injured wrist. He suggested that I get a C-scan to look for hairline fractures. He sent me to a medical facility in Split, but the doctor there was unable to give me a C-scan due to time constraints. I will be seeing my primary care physician here in Texas tomorrow and will give him a copy of the x-rays. Hopefully, everything is okay. My sister and I appreciate very much the kind assistance Van & Luz Benzon accorded us before the cruise and after my accidental fall.. Their customer service was excellent.
